Basketball Simulator - Development

  • I'm going to build a basketball game, as complete as I can do it ... Focusing on Player Autonomy and experience.  When I'm near finished, I will post it more formally.
  • I can generate an entire simulation of the league, eventually.  Initially I will start with teams, later, generating sims via the players in game...
  • Also, I want to be able to play 21, horse, around the world, etc on the official courts and also some custom courts...
  • All crowds are generated randomly also the player cut-outs are randomly displaced.
  • I'm working on importing the NBA courts and I have some other various awesome locations to play at.  I will try to make as many places as possible.  Likely with a randomize setting by the end of it.  Streetball?  No fouls?? Like whoa! You have your UFC version, you got a SlamBall version, you got yer BackYard version, you got yer NBA version ... 😁

So far, I have an Idea.  Poco a poco ...

Basically, in the long run, I would like to implement a image to player converter for the user to put an image in a folder and when the game runs, a player is generated by that image (of the person).  Think stickman, and cut and paste. So, a 2D character could be the best approach for all of this, however a 3D version can have the texture applied to it, if the photo is an exactly met pose.
